Build your own website in just three steps

First Step: Making your own website


Option 1: Find a website editor/builder - You can find lots of free website editor/builder on the internet ready for you to download, try searching google.

* The advantage of this option is that you can edit your website offline and with less limitations than an online editor.
*The disadvantage of this option is that it requires more knowledge in website building and it takes time for you to finish your website because you have to build it in your own way in your own style

Option 2: Find an online website editor/builder - most of these online website editor/builder comes from the web hosting site itself. For my case I chose bravenet they have easy step by step online website editor/builder.

*The advantage of this option is that it requires limited or basic knowledge in website building and it is much faster and easier than an offline website editor/builder. It provides step by step website building procedures that are easy to follow. It also provides themes or layouts for you to choose, making it much easier for you to build your own website.
*The disadvantage of this option is that your website building is limited only to what your online editor can offer.

Second Step: Find a web hosting site

*You can find many free and paid web hosting site on the internet.try searching google.

Factors to consider in choosing a web hosting site:

*Disk space - amount of disk space provided by the web hosting site
*Bandwidth - amount of bandwidth provided by the web hosting site
*Advertisements - if there is banners, pop up advertisements attached to their hosted sites.

Optional Factors:

*Popularity & Rating - Popularity and rating of the web host across the internet.
Third Step:Start to build your own website

*Choosing the type of website you want - it is very essential to first think of what type of website you want to make. Maybe for personal, organization, advertising, for profit, etc... It’s up to you.

*Choosing the contents of your website - in choosing the contents for your website you have to consider these factors:

*Interesting - your website’s content should be interesting so that your visitors will keep on coming back to your site
*Informative - your website’s content should be informative to others so that they won’t waste their time visiting your site.
*Beneficial - your website’s content should be beneficial to others.
*Appearance - it is very important to consider the appearance of your website because we all now about the saying “First impression lasts” so better give them a good first impression for them to comeback.
*Loading time - Putting large amount of images, videos, applets and flash content makes your website’s loading time to forever!, so you better be aware of the size of your website. Maybe you should divide your website into multiple pages to avoid large amount of file size.

**After taking consideration of the above three steps, you should now be ready to publish your website in your chosen web host. Good luck future webmasters!

guys, i want to ask if how do some people upload their mp3 files through geocities,tripod? how do they do that considering that these website hosts dont accept mp3's to be uploaded?
