Step 1 - Host
Find a good host to host your page! I would recommend www.5gigs.com OR www.freewebtown.com as they are offering high disk space and bandwidth (over gigabytes!). In addition, NO ADS!!! What else would we want?
Step 2 - Designing your page
Already found a good host? If so, now its time to design your layout! You could use either Microsoft Frontpage or Dreamweaver or if you are quite expert enough to use notepad, I would rather say carry on! For those who are lazy enough to design a layout, do a GOOGLE search for 'free site layouts' or 'free templates' and you would end up gettin' tons of results! So, without hesitation, choose a layout and CONTINUE!!
Step 3 - Implementation
Now, here comes the toughest part! You might ask to yourself, "What the hell Im gonna include in my page?"
Well, first and foremost, make sure you know your friendster ID number! As for me, my friendster profile url is http://www.friendster.com/user.php?uid=11196489 and the ID would be 11196489! Now, open up any of your friend's profile and hover all (or some of..) the main navigation links and checkout the URL. For instance, you hovered your friend's "Send a message' link and the URL would be something like :
http://www.friendster.com/sendmessage.php?uid=XXXXXXXX
Now, change the XXXXXXXX value to your Friendster ID and there you have, your own "Send a message" URL!
E.g. For 'Add a testimonial' :
http://www.friendster.com/testimonia...d&uid=XXXXXXXX
Change again the XXXXXXXX value to your own Friendster ID
Do this for all those navigation/main menu links!
OR
You could simply register a new account in friendster, add up your original account into it and surf that profile from your newly-created friendster account! Then, hover all the necessary links and copy N paste the URL of those navigation/main menus URL's into your page! The pros of this 'friendster page' is that, you could always change the text of your navigation/menus such as Send a message to Drop me a message and so forth!
Step 4 - Tips
For god's sake, please keep your friendster page as simple as possible! Due to the zero-restrictions, such as javascript usage and so forth, don't simply put all those annoying codes in your page! Its best to stick with no right click code, status bar tweak, javascript menus and so on. Avoid those BULKY javascript document effects, image effects and etc! Try to implement your page with hit counters, shoutbox and a 'little' bit of musics and videos! Remember, pity those dial-up users peepz!!!
Step 5 - Miscellaneous
Its best to create your loading page 1024 in width and 768 in height, or should I say, according to the screen resolution that everyone would be using! Limit the animation frames (if you are planning to do an 'animation loading image') to 15 as this would slow down the 'so-called loading process'!
That's all!!
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!
